For 21 years, Sonoma CAN’s Give Kids A Smile event has been bringing healthy smiles to the children of Sonoma County. In February [Official dates coming in January] we will continue this important tradition, providing free, high-quality dental care to children who might not otherwise have access to these essential services.
Our milestone 20th Give Kids A Smile Day this year was a remarkable success:
- 185 children received dental care
- 2 extractions, 198 X-rays, and 14 sealants were completed
- The total value of treatment and volunteer hours exceeded $205,721
Participating clinics included:
- Rohnert Park Health Center Dental Clinic
- Providence Dental Clinic
- Russian River Dental Clinic
- Sebastopol Community Dental Clinic
- Sahouria Pediatric Dentistry
This event would not be possible without our amazing volunteers—dentists, hygienists, assistants, techs, and support staff—who generously donate their time and expertise. Their efforts ensure that children in our community receive vital dental care at no cost, helping them stay healthy, confident, and ready to thrive.
We need volunteers! If you’re a dental professional or support staff who can lend a hand, your time can make a huge difference in the lives of local children.
Many families in Sonoma County face barriers to accessing dental care due to financial limitations, lack of insurance, or limited provider availability. Give Kids A Smile breaks down these barriers, promoting lifelong oral health and supporting the well-being of our children.
You can help in two ways:
- Volunteer: Sign-up coming in January.
- Donate: Your contribution ensures we can continue providing these life-changing services.
Thank you to everyone who makes this event possible—together, we are transforming lives, one smile at a time!
